What we collect
When you write to us through the contact form we store what you send: name, email, company, your website if you add it, what you want to organise first and your message. We also store the page you arrived from and any campaign parameters in the address, so we know how you found us. Your connection address (IP) is not stored: we keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, a SHA-256 hash made with a secret salt and shortened, used to limit repeated messages.
Where it goes
Messages go from this site to Deft OS, our own internal system of record. Both run on Cloudflare (Workers and a D1 database) under Deft Craft's account, so Cloudflare processes the data as our hosting provider and keeps short-lived technical logs of requests. The database's primary location is Western Europe; it is not restricted to the EU jurisdiction. No email, CRM, analytics, advertising or automation service receives your message. We do not sell or share it, or use it for advertising. If you choose to continue on WhatsApp from the confirmation screen, the message you send there is handled by WhatsApp.
Why
To reply to your message and, if you ask for it, to prepare a scope and a proposal. Nothing else.
For how long
Messages that do not become a project are deleted by hand within twelve months of being sent. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time by writing to the email below.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets one cookie to remember your language. The first page you opened is kept in this tab's session storage so a message can say how you found us; it disappears when you close the tab. Page views are counted on our own system without cookies, without your address and without any identifier: only the page, the referring site, the language and a coarse device type. There is no advertising pixel and no third-party analytics.
Showroom and demos
The Deft Control showroom is a separate site: it runs a fictional company with synthetic data, each visitor gets a private copy that expires after three hours, and its cookies only keep your demo session. The earlier interface demos on this site are fictional businesses; their forms, bookings and checkouts do not send or store anything, and they load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your connection address when you open them.
